Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Bronx is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

First time here and I love the atmosphere. Everyone is so attentive and ready to give good service. 10/10 I canโt wait to return. Meatballs were great. Short ribs were great. I wasnโt able to snap a photo of those appetizers because I was so hungry lol.

Ambience was nice. Food was good. Had the chicken parm, fried calamari, and broccoli rabe pasta. All good. Even better was the cannoli at the end at the cappuccino. The customer service left some to be desired. (As you can see from other reviews mentioned) Most of the waiters were all huddled up talking to each other. Had to ask for my waiter once just to order. Then we needed him again to order drinks but never came, so by the time we came, we had no desire for our drinks with our food and just finished with dessert and a cappuccino. On the way out, no "Thank you so much for coming, have a good evening". Looks the other way as we head out. May seem trivial, but with so many options in bronx little italy, customer service should be king, not just good food. Attention to the customer, not side conversations with peers. Showing gratitude for customer being patrons at your establishment, as there as so many other options, and customers are the reason why restuarants stay open and can pay for your paycheck. Probably will not go back.

This is Italy away from Italy! We celebrated my husbandโs birthday with lunch and came here from out of state as we heard so much good about this restaurantโs authenticity and atmosphere. The food was exceptionally good, especially the Mafalde in Cartoccio, Insalata di Arugula, and Pasta Al Forno. The Mafalde was perfectโthe best pesto Iโve ever tasted! The staff were highly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly and we appreciated the birthday song for my husband. The atmosphere was Italy itself and it could not have been more perfect. There was a separate bar area, back dining room and side dining room with a skylight. My husband is half-Italian and also a former server at Commanderโs Palace and now at a higher-end Italian restaurant in our hometown. He was over the moon with the exceptional quality and taste, especially the affordability and lack of artificial stuffiness. This truly felt genuine and warm, which is everything we had hoped for. Thank you for a fantastic experience! 100% recommend!

Another visit to Trattoria Zero Otto Nove, because some traditions are non-negotiable. Ms. J. and I do the New York Botanical Garden first and then reward ourselves properly with pasta. As one should. I ordered the Pasta al Forno, which showed up hot, cheesy, and very much not interested in being subtle. Comfort food doing the absolute most -- baked, sauced, and bubbling like it knew it was the right choice. One would think "Boiled eggs in pasta?", but trust me, the bechamel sauce takes it to the next level. Ms. J. went for the daily special: Radiatori in Cartoccio, cooked inside a sealed pocket of aluminum foil and opened tableside like a little pasta reveal. Steamy, aromatic, and frankly a bit of a showoff -- in the best possible way. And then there was the Tiramisu. We shared it (heroically), and I'm just going to say it: top-tier tiramisu. Not too sweet, beautifully balanced, rich without being heavy -- one of the best we've had in NYC, and we do not make that claim lightly. We both love tiramisu. We both judge tiramisu. This one passed with stars. Zero nonsense, big flavors, and a tradition that continues to age very well. We'll be back. Obviously.

From the moment I walked in, the whole experience was unforgettable. It truly felt like I stepped right into Little Italy almost like a hidden speakeasy with its warm, intimate vibe. The waiters were incredibly professional, and the customer service was top-tier from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, yea a little on the pricey side, but worth every single penny. I left impressed, satisfied, and already planning my next visit. Highly recommend! I went with the kids 10/14 My younger one have the spaghetti and meatballs. I have the mussels for appetizer. My older son had a pork chop. Nothing comes with pasta or bread. Everything is separate. Which my son was disappointed. I was suggested the waiters give everybody a heads up just in case if you get a protein let them know that you need to get a side separate.
